Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of StatRelay (“StatRelay”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by ThinkHuman Ltd. (“ThinkHuman”). By creating an account or using StatRelay, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

StatRelay is a stat dissemination platform for Discord bots. You send bot statistics to StatRelay; we relay those statistics to third-party bot listing sites (“Integrations”) that you configure in your dashboard. We may add, change, or remove Integrations at any time.

StatRelay is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free relays, or acceptance of your statistics by any Integration.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use StatRelay. You sign in with Discord OAuth.

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your Discord account secure.
  • All activity that occurs under your StatRelay account.
  • Ensuring you have the right to operate and submit statistics for each Discord bot you register.

You may not share account access in a way that circumvents access controls or billing limits.

3. Bots, API Tokens, and Connections

3.1 Registering Bots

You register Discord bot applications in the dashboard. You must provide accurate application IDs and only register bots you own, develop, or are authorized to operate.

3.2 Bot API Tokens

Each bot has a secret API token used to post statistics to your relay endpoint. Treat tokens like passwords: store them securely, rotate them if exposed, and never commit them to public repositories.

We store only a hashed form of tokens. We cannot recover a lost token; you must generate a new one.

3.3 Integration Credentials

To relay stats to listing sites, you may store API keys or tokens for those Integrations in StatRelay. You are responsible for obtaining those credentials lawfully and for complying with each Integration’s terms.

We use your credentials only to perform relays you initiate by posting stats.

3.4 Accurate Statistics

You must not submit false, misleading, or manipulated statistics. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, fraud, or conduct that harms the service or third parties.

4. Plans, Billing, and Limits

4.1 Free Tier

Subject to these Terms and current product limits, the free tier allows relaying for bots below the published server-count threshold, with a limit on how many bots may be active at once.

Limits are described in the dashboard and documentation and may change.

4.2 StatRelay Pro

Bots at or above the published server-count threshold require an active paid subscription (“Pro”) for relays to run.

Pro is billed through Stripe. Prices, features, and thresholds are shown at checkout and in the dashboard.

4.3 Payment and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing interval you select until cancelled. You may cancel through the Stripe customer portal linked from the dashboard.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Failed payments may suspend Pro benefits.

4.4 Fair Use and Rate Limits

We apply rate limits and minimum intervals between relay requests to protect the service. Excessive or abusive traffic may be throttled or blocked.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or third-party terms, including Discord’s and each Integration’s terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to StatRelay, other accounts, or underlying systems.
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities except with our prior written permission.
  • Use StatRelay to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.
  • Resell or operate StatRelay as a multi-tenant commercial stat-relay service for third-party developers, except as permitted under the separate StatRelay open-source license for self-hosted deployments you control.

We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

6. Third-Party Services

StatRelay relies on third parties including Discord for authentication, Stripe for payments, hosting and database providers, and bot listing Integrations.

Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or actions.

7. Intellectual Property

StatRelay software, branding, and documentation are owned by ThinkHuman or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our intellectual property.

Open-source components of the project may be licensed separately. See the repository LICENSE.

You retain rights to your bot names, statistics, and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that data solely to operate StatRelay and perform relays you configure.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal data. By using StatRelay, you acknowledge that policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STATRELAY IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THINKHUMAN AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF STATRELAY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

  1. THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM; OR
  2. Ten POUNDS STERLING (£10),

EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless ThinkHuman against claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of StatRelay, your bots, your submitted statistics, your Integration credentials, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law.

You may stop using StatRelay at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive, including limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law, will survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with a new “Last updated” date.

Material changes may be communicated via the dashboard or email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you non-waivable rights.
